Below is an interview with the Team Manager of WXC, Keith Loveday.
In a racing environment, it must be especially important for your bikes to be reliable and well maintained?
Indeed. The race bikes have to be prepared to a level where they can endure extreme and arduous conditions – anything from two hours for a cross country race to twenty four house in an enduro event, come rain or shine.
Which Weldtite products in particular do the team use?
Top of the list is the Dirtwash range for cleaning and the TF2 products for lubrication.
How long has the team been using Dirtwash products?
We’ve been using them for three years of continuous and intensive year round racing, which included MTB, XCO, Marathon and Enduro events.
What in your opinion separated the Weldtite products from other brands?
Weldtite have formulated their product range to help cyclists use their maintenance time efficiently, which for us is paramount on the race scene. For example, Dirtwash is quickly applied and then rinsed off easily leaving no harmful residue and a clean bike. The lubrication products, such as the TF2 range work extremely well and all have good adhesion properties.
Do you ride yourself, and if so do you use Weldtite products to maintain your own bike?
I leave the competing to the Team, but I do ride for leisure when possible. And yes I do use Weldtite products, believe me all their products work very well.
